It’s that time of year again when we get to be part of something truly special as we approach the Christmas season. Every year, as both a Foundation and a church, we commit to being part of a story that is blessing our nation—a story filled with hope.
Buckets of Hope was launched by Compass Cares back in 2013. Through their CSI (Corporate Social Investment) division, Compass Cares brings together staff, church partners, and local communities to fill Buckets of Hope with groceries for destitute families across South Africa during December. In their own words, “Buckets of Hope represents more than just a container filled with groceries; it embodies our unwavering belief in hope’s transformative power.”
This year, these buckets will reach over 30 000 people in need, distributed through a network of over 50 nonprofit organisations. Here at the Linc Foundation, we are excited to distribute a bucket to each learner in the schools we are partnered with in the iLembe district. The impact is clear: 1,200 families will have food this Christmas season. But it’s more than just a number—it’s about families sitting together around a dinner table, sharing a meal without the worry of where their next one will come from. It’s about empowerment and the freedom to reallocate resources to other pressing needs.
Every year, we are deeply inspired by the support shown by our church and community. In fact, 288 buckets were sold on the first day alone! Now, we invite you to join in and be part of this story of hope.

This festive season, let’s continue to spread hope together.
